When thinking about being active on LinkedIn, most people tend to think about the investment in terms of ROI.

While ROI is an important metric for any sales channel, it’s a limited frame for viewing the investment of being active on the platform.

You wouldn’t judge the ROI of your company’s email account or cellphone based on the number of “leads” you are getting and cancel them if you’re not reaching your business goals, would you? — No, you’d adjust the way you use the tool.

To get the most out of #Linkedin and use it to drive business results, you need to commit to becoming a citizen of the internet.

If you’re serious about upskilling, here are the resources I’d recommend investing in. — I’ve also linked to the authors of these resources; I recommend following them too.

1️⃣ Using storytelling for #sales and #marketing.

2️⃣ Using LinkedIn to build your professional platform.

These three resources will give you the mental models you need to be more effective, both working with your marketing team and being proactive with your own efforts.

The internet is evolving rapidly; just remember, the best way to understand change is to be a part of it. — and don’t forget to have some fun in the process.
